  • The Sir Keith Ajegbo Fund

In September 2025 Deptford Green turned 50, originally opening in September 1975.

To honour this momentous occasion, we created the Sir Keith Ajegbo Fund. Sir Keith was headteacher in the early days of Deptford Green and to date it’s longest serving head.

A fund in Sir Keith's name has been created to support the students of Deptford Green School, with a particular focus on ensuring equality of opportunity for all our students, creating an environment for all students to thrive and breaking down barriers both social and academic.

Funds will be raised in differing avenues, including in school initiatives, including non-uniform days, fundraising from events run by The Friends of Deptford Green (PTA) and also from direct donations from parents via the ParentPay platform (which can be found under the 'Pay for other items section').

We will use the money that the fund raises to support students to access trips, workshops, music tuition and other opportunities that will help to build their cultural capital and make sure they can compete with the best London has to offer.

Importantly, students will be key in making the decisions about how this money is spent.

We thank you for your support.
