'To be an artist is to believe in life' (Henry Moore)
At Deptford Green, we believe the arts are a vital force for expression, inclusion, and empowerment. Our vision is to create a vibrant, student-led arts culture that celebrates diverse voices, fosters creativity, and connects our school with the wider community. We encourage every student to dream big — to explore bold ideas, take creative risks, and use the arts as a platform for change, to explore culture and their identities. Through Art, Music, Drama, Dance, Textiles and Photography, we aim to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong engagement with the arts that extends far beyond the classroom.
We constantly seek out opportunities to link everything arts related to careers and life beyond school, building cultural capital and securing the best outcomes for our young people.
We are creative across the school, in all our subjects not just the arts. Creativity is the golden thread that runs all the way through Deptford Green.
