I joined the English Department at Deptford Green School as a student teacher in January 2008, and I have been privileged to work here ever since. It is a magical place with a community feel. Staff and students are so welcoming and talented here.

As an English teacher, I love teaching Literature and helping students to explore the different worlds that words can create. 

I am also an Assistant Headteacher leading on Staff Development and Whole School Literacy. My responsibilities include: coordinating the professional development and training of all staff; developing CPD initiatives within the 'Teaching & Learning' team; leading on whole school strategies for Literacy, Oracy and Reading to ensure every child is given access to the skills for life-long learning.

No two days are ever the same, but learning is always at the heart of what we do.
