As part of a programme organised by the Prince's Trust Enterprise Challenge, last week Friday, a group of about 30 of our pupils met their business mentors and the volunteers were absolutely thrilled by their creativity and enthusiasm.

We are looking forward to the next session on February 8th February 2019, when some special guests will come in to hear their pitches and offer further feedback and encouragement.

Here are some further details about the programme:

  • The Enterprise Challenge is an inter-school competition and we really would like to see a Deptford Green Team in the regional and national final!

  • Pupils work in teams to find solutions to ethical business issues by building their own business using an online interactive business game.

  • Delivered in 2 sessions on January 25th and February 8th (over 6 hours) by mentors in school.

  • Teams learn about core business concepts including pitching business ideas.

  • Pupils develop their communication and team working skills, problem solving and creative thinking as well as resilience and decision making.

  •  The online business simulation game is designed to develop participants' employability skills, improve their ‘profits and sustainability’ and give them the best chance to learn.
