The Community-Apprentice programme 2018

mentoring

Two groups of Year 10 students have now completed the Community-Apprentice programme 2018 with Envision.

Students worked in small groups developing employability skills and running fundraising activities. With expert guidance from their Business Mentors, weekly coaching sessions and the encouragement of all Deptford Green staff and students, they raised £1441 for Pets as Therapy and £1539 for Action for Refugees in Lewisham.

We are very proud of their achievements and have been impressed by their creativity and leadership and positive attitude. The two groups demonstrated excellent teamwork skills and have grown in confidence, becoming more self-aware and resilient.

The programme concluded with a presentation at the Boardroom Final event where they showcased their public speaking skills and enthusiasm and the impact the funds raised will have on so many people.

We wish to thank London & Capital and Envision for their support and commitment and have no doubts our students will be able to positively use the skills and experience gained to help them in their future career and in making a difference in their community.
