As you may know, next week is Anti-Bullying Week. Clearly, this is something we fully support at Deptford Green School and as such, we have decided to kick the week off with odd socks day!
On Monday 16th, we are asking all pupils, staff, and parents (if you wish!), to wear odd socks to school as a gesture to show that we are all different and to celebrate those differences! For one day only, colourful, cheerful, silly socks are encouraged - let's all be a little 'different' together.
Attached is some information on the anti-bullying week, including some advice on what bullying is, how it may present in children, and what you can do as a parent to support your child if you think they are being bullied. Feel free to read this with your children and open up those discussions as it is only by us working together, that we can ensure your children are safe and happy.
Deptford Green has a zero-tolerance stance towards bullying - if you have any concerns about your child please always feel free to email their head of year or pastoral team at any time.
We look forward to seeing your children in their silliest socks on Monday.
