Envision - Community Programme - posted 24th Jan

Envision - Community-Apprentice Programme

On Tuesday 15th January 2019, 15 Year 10 students from Deptford Green School were invited to the launch of Envision’s Community-Apprentice programme, a 13-week inter-school competition across Lewisham. The competition requires each team to run an awareness-raising and fundraising project for their chosen charity in their school and a partner business. They will receive support along the way from a dedicated team of business mentors from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, as well as weekly in-school guidance from their Envision Coach. Throughout the programme the young people develop key employability skills such as confidence, determination and teamwork.

Free Support & Information Day for Parents - Metro - posted 11th Oct

Our school is part of METRO Charity’s Anti-Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic Bullying Project. METRO Charity provide health, community and youth services across London and the South East, and their Anti-Bullying Project works with staff, students and parents in over 300 schools like ours. They have been working closely with us to help celebrate diversity; eradicate homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying, and raise awareness.
