Art, Drama, Textiles, Design, Dance and Music were recently awarded with the prestigious Arts Mark Award! The Award from Arts Council England recognises the high quality arts provision in schools.
We are thrilled that the hard work and dedication of the teachers in our Arts subjects has been recognised.

Mr Paish said "They are a very hard working group of people with an absolute focus on providing our young people with top quality experiences and engaging them in learning about our diverse culture. At the heart of all our work is also the positive relationships between our teachers and students. Students were interviewed for the inspection and we were very proud that they spoke eloquently about their lessons and were passionate about their learning.”
Many of the cross curricular areas that won the award were involved in the summer show of “Guys and Dolls” which  had five sell out performances this week. Students from all year groups (even those cramming for their GCSEs!) volunteer their time out of school hours to be involved in the annual show.
Deptford Green is moving to pastures new in September with the opening of its new school building with a new sixth form. Peter Campling, headteacher said “It is wonderful to have such a fantastic summer show on, as a one of our farewell events in our current school, all just weeks before we pack up to move building!”
