Award Winning School Building

Details can be downloaded here of our local SEN provision offer. This comprises part of the Lewisham offer of provision overall. Deptford Green has a Dyslexia Resource Unit as the specific learning difficulties provision.
Specialism - Humanities
Deptford Green specialises in Humanities, with English, Citizenship and Drama as our specialist subjects. We are pleased to be one of the first Humanities colleges in the country.
The student council elections were in the first half of Autumn term and since then the student council have met on a weekly basis with the form representatives meeting once every half term. Student council members feedback to their houses about what they have discussed and the changes that they are able to make in assemblies.

As you are aware we were recently visited by Ofsted. I can now confirm that the school has been removed from special measures.
I will send out the full report and headlines in September. The latest repost identifed that the school has been successfully "turned-around" and that a "strong trajectory of improvement has been secured".

Deptford Green share a global partnership with St. Kizito School in Uganda. 6th form students can do voluntary work placements in the summer of Year 12. Students in Year 9 and 10 can do exchange visits with the school. Click for more info.
IB Diploma at DGI
Details of our Sixth Form Deptford Green International (DGI) for 16-19 year olds. We are one of the only state schools in South East London to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma).
Literacy & EAL
At Deptford Green literacy is a key component of all lessons and we have strong provision for students new to English.
