IB Diploma at DGI
DGI Sixth Form offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma
We are curently the only state school in Lewisham to offer this exciting course. As a state school we are able to offer this without fees to students who are EU Citizens.
The IB Diploma is internationally recognised as a rigorous Post 16/6th Form course which fully prepares students for study at universty. In the International Baccalaureate Diploma in which you study six subjects (three at higher and three at standard level) as well as three core components.
Entrance requirements are 7 or more GCSEs or equivalent at A*-C including English and Maths, including A*-B at the subjects chosen at Higher Level.
Please download the course brochure below to see full details of the courses that we offer, which would be a choice of six subjects. You must take one from each of these groups:
- Group 1) English Literature (compulsory)
- Group 2) French or Spanish Ab Initio
- Group 3) History or Philosphy
- Group 4) Biology or Chemistry or Physics
- Group 5) Mathematics or Mathematical Studies
Your sixth subject can be
- an additional subject from Group 3 or Group 4 or
- one from Group 6) Visual Art or Music
